Holy Shit!
That is all I could say when I heard the news out of the Billy Graham camp. I am at a loss for words on how sickening this is, and how blind many Christians are to the horse shit Evangelicals are up to.
Jesus is not a political party people… some need to pull their heads out of you know where.
If you have not heard yet, Billy Graham and his cronies have removed Mormonism from the list of cults on their website. It used to be on the list next to Jehovah’s Witness and Scientology. After the removal of Mormonism from his website, and after a meeting with Mitt Romney, Billy is asking Christians to support Mitt as the next POTUS.
I found a quote online that fits this action by Billy really well. “Don’t give up. Don’t lose hope. Don’t sell out.”
Well, that is exactly what Bill Graham and everyone associated with him and his ministries did … they sold out!! Sold out to the political machine. How flipping sad is that?
The articles I read online just rips my heart out on where Christianity is headed today. Evangelicals are just a bunch of political junkies, and it gets worse by the day.
If you did not read any of the articles yet, go read them and form your own opinion. Here is mine.. let me paraphrase all the articles for you…
“Piss on you Jesus. We are going to use the political system to take dominion over the world. Go Mitt Go!!”
Now I know why I distanced myself from the system, or the establishment of church.
This whole blog is written because of the actions that are done in the name of church… and again we swim in a river of bullshit.

The *Cult* word gets overused,but in some cases it is appropriate.
The definition of a destructive religious cult is like alcoholism-if booze controls you instead of the other way around you are an alcoholic.
I was in the Watchtower society Jehovah’s Witnesses,they are not benevolent and won’t let you leave their organization in peace.The Jehovahs are not without scandals-child abuse,deceptive mind control tactics, sex scandals, money scams, general bad behavior.

Whether or not Mormonism is a cult or not is not the issue at hand. The issue is tossing Jesus to the side and using politics as your savior.
The extent of this betrayal for political reasons cannot be overestimated. Graham describes Romney as some who will “base their decisions on biblical principles”. If Billy thinks that someone who denies every fundamental doctrine of the Bible is basing their decision on Biblical principles I have to wonder if he even knows what mormonism teaches. Or maybe it doesn’t matter just so long as we get rid of Obama.
Arthur – It is amazing to me the length people will go to because of the disagreement of another person. In many of the cases, it is complete hatred.. which is a complete 180 from what Jesus teaches.
I dislike Obama’s views, but I would never throw Christ under a political bus just to get another person I disagree with elected.
